The new proposed facade for the competition shouldn’t at all diminish the identity of the original theater but should act as a continuation to the original County Theater. By Continuing the Facade it means the use of the same degradation of colors and materials.
The colourful new facade interacts with the people of the town to give some liveability and break the monotony of colours used elsewhere, leaving this building unique and preserving its original identity. Between the block of colourful alucobond, some are coloured glass which will allow light to the interior of the new lobby space. The three standing elements are pure aesthetics at the below but from above they are huge widows that will allow light to the offices. All the texture and colour of material will enhance the pedestrian engagement with the building, and the reaction of the building toward the town
The entrance was left in the original building to emphasis about its existence as the first building, and then from the main lobby you can go to the adjacent building through the eastern wall. You will enter to the lobby of the new theater. Which it contains a small snack area with a seating area. Due to the playful facade and as mentioned earlier the colors of the glass will allow a colorful natural light to play on the ground of the interior. On the side there would be stairs that will take employees up to their offices.
